Institute for Research and Documentation in Social Sciences (IRDS), a Non government Organization, was founded by some like-minded and public-spirited people in the year 1996. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and has been granted permission under the FCR Act to accept foreign donations/contributions. The Organization has also been exempted under section 80 G of the IT Act. It is working in various fields of Social services with the aim of making selfless, positive and substantial contribution to the overall development of the Nation and its people.

It is working in areas of Research and Documentation, Judicial Reforms, Human Rights and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
